Location: Today I are mostly being in Yorkshire.

Clearing out the shed here, there is the traditional pile of tins of paint. I never know what to do with it: much of it is perfectly usable, but there is a limited number of things that I have needing painting, but it is very wasteful to just throw it away.

The recycling place at Llandygai has a section for paint.
Not quite sure what they do with it ...

offer them to craft people.. watched a wonderful dvd at my mothers yesterday and the person was using emulsion paints ... I thought it an excellent idea. She was doing a painting method developed from folk painting... most intriguing

Yes, but this is in Heywood, where I am not hanging around for long enough to wait on people.

We've limited inclination and space to cart it away from here.

The "recycling" facilities around here are second to none: if none was in the running, they would come second.

Is there a local charity who might be able to make use of it?

I've donated some building materials to one here, who do odd jobs for people, including some pieces of plasterboard that no-one on freecycle wanted. I phoned and asked if they might have a use for it, and he asked if I minded if they used it in their charity shop as he'd a wall there that needed plastering!

I'm sure a similar charity would take useable paint!

What bit of Heywood i will ask my sis if she knows anywhere.

just phoned her she said apart from the charity shops on th emain rd there is a furniture one down the back of the market somewhere.

There is also the tip at bury end of the town, Back o the moss.

My other sis just phoned said wood or anything usable on an Allotment would be gratefully accepted. she has just taken over a second half plot.

Nothing much of use there I'm afraid... Unless she's got stuff wanting painting.

Thanks, that looks promising... and yes, some of it is outdoor paint.
