I see it's now available for the Bold 9700. I may be tempted to traverse this route at some point soon.

Anyone updated to 6 yet?

My bold has two particularly annoying issues which I doubt RIM will ever fix in v5. Wonder what advances / problems 6 will bring...

1. It keeps dropping off my Wifi here and refuses to reconnect (refuses to re-associate, to be technical). Much research and fiddling has failed to conclusively point the finger at the fruit or the modem.

2. It occasionally gets its knickers in a twist with long SMS threads, and refuses to open the thread for reading/sending. Usually the only remedy is to delete the thread and start again.

Crackberry forums. Yes, hours worth.

don't suffer with the wifi issues but tend to clear long chat threads on bbm and text as I'm old and can't follow them.

crackberry is useful IMO

It has its fair share of tedious dross, just like any other techie forum.

Well, I like the look of what BBOS6 can do. Just need to allocate an entire afternoon to actually do it...

Well I've started the lengthy upgrade process... and already had my first panic after it had passed the point of no return

However it just wanted a direct PC->device connection, and not via a USB hub.

So far the error message plus hints on what to do plus recovery have been reassuring.
