If I was very very hungry, yes. Otherwise, no. It fails my 'creatures that fit in my mouth in one piece' test.

If someone takes their little deebly bopper accusatory eyes and heads off first, yes, because I can cut them up. Otherwise I find them difficult. I like the taste of them. Pretty much everything else, though, I can't do it.

I don't think I could face eating bees. Utterly not the mealworms, or anything else wormy for that matter. They just give me the creeps as something to consume. I know this for sure, as someone tipped quite a large volume of dried mealworms over my head a few months ago - and that was 'Urgh' enough for me. The other stuff, I'd try though. I think.

It's just social conditioning though isn't it. Why is a terrestrial arthropod any less appetising than a marine one? Same with molluscs - I don't fancy land snails, though I'll devour mussels and don't mind the odd winkle. No sense to it. Maybe considering how much methane termites produce, making them a staple food stuff would solve all sorts of problems.

I was on a walk in the Australian rain forest a while ago, with a guide. She found a nest of large green honey ants. She picked one up, and licked it's bum. She said that people often bit the honey sac off them, but that was effectively biting them in half. She asked that we only lick the ant and we would still get the honey flavour without killing the ant. Weird... but yes, you could taste the honey

had meal worms and crickets out of harvey nichols. the scorpions were a little expensive though so i passed. definatley would though.

Had all sorts of cricket things in various chilli and spice coatings in Thailand and Singapore - not too keen on a mouthful of crispy legs and wing cases - it's not the flavour but the texture that's off-putting.
