I think our leccy bill is far too high, does anyone have a recommendation for an energy monitor so I can track down where my issue is?

No idea about monitors but if you asked me to guess the issue it's probably teenagers.

Lots of stuff is proper little energy vampires , our washing machine draws some power even if it's seemingly switched off. Only way is to switch it off at the wall socket.

Refrigeration is a big consumer, old machines get inefficient and have longer run times. The valves in the compressor get worn.

Teenagers are energy vampires unless they go green .

The plug in monitors mean you can check each item individually.
