the biography is rather interesting here is part one the other bits link to it.
there are a few bits of the bbc radio versions of his work lurking as well .
although his output is "fiction" he provides a superb insight into the mindset of that world.
among the stuff on i player is an account of him and greene meeting which is quite amusing ,like greene his professional experiences inform his works although their approaches to story telling are different both are accurate painters of shadows.
