I would think you would have seen life from the willow. I might be able to send you some rosemary cuttings if you want. If I send a few, you could propagate from them once they really get going.

thanks for the kind offer, but we actually have a tonne of rosemary and so should probably have been taking the cuttings approach ourselves, we certainly have no excuse not to.

First corner propped up, I figure subsidence rather than rot, though I need to treat the wood.
Been reading that structural reports on the Condo in Miami were talking about exponential faults in 2018 and subsidence in the 1990s....
Despite Seans best efforts I don't think we are close to collapse.

In the picture with the brick wall, one of the cross members looks a little dodgy. Looks as if water has been penetrating, but otherwise all looks fairly good.

It's definitely in need of some treatment.

A post literally in midair, anti gravity posting.

started getting some concrete down. It will be a mess, but at least I think it will end up being solid.

If you are using the concrete as a base for the upright posts, it might be a good idea to put a bit of waterproof membrane such as tarred felt under each upright to keep out any moisture coming up from the concrete. Even without that, you will have a far better base than at present.
