Any festival goers out there... (Big Green / Glastonbury etc.) Have you ever experienced the hot veggy breakfast made by 'Manic Organic'? It's a kind of moist stir fry served with a home-made tomato sauce and a good wedge of bread - brilliant food, and I'd like to cook something similar myself - but I can't find a recipe - any ideas? They don't seem to have a website, so I can't ask directly (at least until I'm next at their stall)

Hi
I have experienced the delight you are referring to. I ate it every morning at glastonbury for the last 2 years. They say it involves their own vegan sausage mix. I disected the ingredients and noticed there are three main elements to it: tomato sauce, fried potato, veggie fryup stuff. The fried bits definitely contain the following:
Some kind of grain
Chunks of fennel,
Fennel Seed
Cinnamon bark
potato,
cabbage
pine nuts
If you find the recipe, let me know... I love it!!!
googled it for you - worth doing, it seems they are at a variety of festivals. They don't appear to have a website but their contact details appear to be :
MANIC ORGANIC : Buttons, 113 Ulverley Green Road, SOLIHULL, West Midlands, B92 8AJ Ph: 0121 682 6118
Mostly vegan and organic home made foods; catering for weddings, indoor and outdoor events, etc.
well you could try asking for the recipe direct, nothing lost by being cheeky!
