Taddiport village hall is here.

Come off the A386 at the top of Torrington Hill, opposite the Commons where the castle bonfire can be seen.

Go down Limers Hill (B3227) past the old milk factory and over the bridge. Turn left opposite the chapel and go up the hill about 50 yards. The hall is on a corner where a steep lane goes up to the right.

To park drive past the hall and find a spot along the road.

so we've potentially got

Sean, Jamanda + BW
Alison (just me I think!)
Brown and Madame Bear
TD and Bugs
Chez, Nena and Leo
Fee and HT
Chickem, Mr Chickem and 2 little chicklets
HelenM, Luke & Abbie
Sally_in_Wales
Gardening girl + one
Vanessa + OH
Jema & Snowball
Colour it green + 1

So far we've got the people on the front page coming. I make it 27, of whom some are quite small.

Sean & I will do an Irish stew and provide clotted cream, bread, butter and some home brew and soft drinks and milk.

Gardening girl is doing Homity pie

Helen M is doing lasagne.

Chickem is doing Mince pies and treacle tarts and annihilation by chocolate.

Fee is bringing TEA (not to be confused with the stuff that comes in pots) and Christmas cake and Wensleydale.

Vanessa is in charge of tea and coffe and cheery pithiviers

Sally has volunteered Gareth's chocolate nipples of Venus
TD is bringing nibbly bits.

CIG - pumpkin scones, cheese and cordials.

What else? More cake? More homebrew? Something veggie? Any volunteers?

People making/bringing stuff please at least make a note of what it costs even if it's awkward to fetch receipts. And yes Fee, there will be a small charge for the hall - shouldn't need more than two or three quid per person to cover costs and reimburse folks.

I haven't confirmed times with the hall yet. What shall I say? We'll start at 1pm - if people got there then I would be happy to do a foraging walk seeing as there seems to still be a few mushies about. Eat from 4pm onwards, making sure we leave some for Snowball and Jema. Be cleared up and out by 7pm and down the pub by 8pm?

Is that alright with everyone?

It this exclusive or inclusive? I put my hand up but the only person around to see it was Tim who thought I was asking to go to the toilet. I'm at work by the way.

Not for Alison it isn't - it's all over by then.

A bit. Just tucked into a big bowl of chicken soup just like my mum used to make me when I was a kid. Always makes me feel better (and the steam coming off it is clearing my sinuses). Anyway, hadn't you better go back to organising your gathering?

Nah, I'm going for a bath. I was just wondering if enough people fancied it to make it a goer.

Would the Devon/Cornwall/Somerset lot (and anyone else of course) like me to look into organdising a get together in early December?

Hands up if you are interested, then I can gauge if it would be feasible, and what and where.
