I'd say plant 'em. Even if it's only a couple of rows, they taste great (earlies especially) and are a big part of the occasional "entirely home grown" meal. That takes some beating in my book.

I gew Scottish Rocket the other year - great returns and very tasty. I think rocket are supposed to be a bit more resistant to blight as well - don't know if it's true or not.

My habanero are looking healthy but small so far. All others passed away in the great greenhouse collapse of 2005. Alas. (Bit of roof collapsed during acto of vabdalism. Grrr!)

My mum made an anti midge potion based around tea tree oil - it even worked for my dad walking teh west highland way in late summer.

Unfortunately, tea tree oil is the only ingredient I can rememb ...

I thought it was illegal to use leftover lamb for anything other than shepherd's pie. (Unless I manage to steal it all to eat cold beforehand).
