this job seems ok but......

re fences, i am happy to have the post side, and they get the "pretty" side with both party walls, better for secure attachment of spiky plants

odd shape might be due to empty spaces with a few kernels between them

lack of pollination explains the empty spaces

thanks, noted for later when needed, 2 sheets of 18mm marine ply seemed the easy way to make one

i dont have a hole yet, it will change size and shape when i do

it needs to work
it needs to outlast me
the new wall/doorway should be fairly stable(it is here so there is a fair bit of heave )
it needs to look ok
it needs to be a good size for purpose ...

a few feathers in the alley this morning explains the corvid squawking and flapping about noises 45 mins after the mention of the poorly squab

oh well, it was fairly swift, and the corvids got a me ...
