In the end we had them on the roof, there was just more roof space on the barn.

We had a similar situation and the installers said no to using the barn, not sure how big the losses would be. We have a battery too made sense for us

I struggled with this on a canon printer, you had to ‘register’ a custom size on the printer before you could use it. Not sure if it’s something similar
