I am making my home clean and tidy.

At the moment I am spring cleaning. Ruthlessly, as the last 3 years I didn't really do much, apart from the swish, swipe and hoover.

I am attacking one room at a time, top to bottem and throwing loads of stuff away. It is very liberating.

The theory is that by the end of two weeks I will have cleared the guilt away so when I want to sit in the daytime and do a craft project, read etc I won't feel guilty because the spare bedroom hasn't be touched in so long.

I have done 2 whole rooms today, and have started the office / room of doom, that has never been used as an office, but is called that. It has never been cleaned since we have been here, and is used as a dumping ground. I may be some time!

I thought I would do an instructable on it. I'm hoping to get it finished this weekend and post it up. If I don't I will post a photo instead. (Feeling a bit guilty as I am neglecting anything household including cooking at the moment.)

Instructions would be fab Cathryn!

Pics of the first item made from the quilt I was given, this bag has a piece of every one of the fabrics and I dropped it off at the ladies house. She loved it and was really pleased she had a reminder of all the fabrics, some of which were the clothes she made herself as a girl. It's reversible too

that looks fantastic Such a lovely idea

I'm meant to be cranking out socks, interspersed with knitting a reticule, but I've worn a hole in my finger with eth sharp 2mm needles I'm using so that has to go on hold for a bit, and I'm bored rigid with the sock machine today. I'm contemplating being naughty and spending a couple of hours working on a possible new knitting pattern idea I'm cooking up, but I really should be focussing on other things.

Creativity is a fickle thing...

That's lovely, Pookie.

I did judith's block yesterday and I'm going to try some spinning later to see if my hand can do that. No knitting for a while, though.

Knitting break for me too..been busy all week knitting slippers, next task is getting round to felting them..but before that and in between spinning and carding I'm doing bit of woodcraft....home made woolcombs.
I just don't want to part with £50 to get new pair and as I have bits of wood and long nails spare...'comb' made out of those will have to do for now.
