I have recently started making this nigella recipe

Which is basically melted chocolate, butter, syrup with peanuts and crunchies mixed in

I have been pondering how to make it slightly more adult and less bad for people with peanut alergies

I was thinking about making the nuts pistachios but I am trying to decide what to pair with it

I have come up with apricots or crystallised ginger

What do people think. I would probably roast the nuts in a pan and slightly salt them before adding to the mix[/i]

We're on the same wave length today. BW has just made his version which is

200g milk choc
1/2 packet of butter
1 tablespoon syrup (except we used honey as didn't have any syrup)
(melt these together)

mix into 200g digestive biscuits bashed with a rolling pin
and a handful of mini marshmallows.

I made a grown up version using the same quantities but

G&B dark chocolate and sour dried cherries and pistachios instead of the marshmallows.

sour cherries does sound good.

I would probably use a mix of dark and milk chocolate as I prefer my chocolate less sharp
